Somethink Studio is a Vancouver-based wedding photography team specializing in cultural and intimate weddings. We pair a soft, timeless aesthetic with gentle guidance to provide a completely stress-free experience for our couples. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, we bridge the gap between generations, languages, and traditions ensuring every person in the room feels seen, included, and beautifully captured.
Most of our couples are navigating two worlds at once: honoring family traditions while building something that feels genuinely their own. That space in between is where we do our best work.
We do not simply show up and shoot. We bring structure to the celebration. Directing large family portraits across multiple languages, guiding bridal parties through traditional etiquette with patience, and ensuring the cultural moments that matter most are captured with intention. Hello! I'm Hei
Before we talk about anything else, I have a confession: I am terribly camera-shy. That’s actually the primary reason I hide behind the lens in the first place! Because I know firsthand the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty of being photographed, my approach to photography is built around making sure you feel completely at ease and relaxed during our sessions.
Our team perspective is also deeply shaped by our experiences as immigrant from our home countries and navigating diverse cultural dynamics. Leveraging our trilingual background, we specialize in helping couples with similar multicultural roots feel comfortable, truly understood, and naturally themselves in front of the camera.
