For C&D, their celebration began in the most comfortable place imaginable—at home—with a heartfelt Chinese tea ceremony. This meaningful start grounded the entire day in connection and gratitude, providing an emotionally safe environment where family elders could share blessings and exchange traditional red envelopes.

As the day progressed, the energy shifted to the historic Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in downtown Vancouver for a vibrant cocktail reception. The transition from the cozy, familiar corners of home to the architectural beauty of the classical garden was seamless. Surrounded by jade-green waters and quiet pavilions, guests mingled freely, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

We approached C&D’s day with a commitment to true-to-life storytelling, letting the organic flow of the day dictate the frames.
