A Day of Quiet Promises: B&S’s Elopement at Deer Lake Park

Elopements are built on the beauty of intention, and B&S’s day was a masterclass in keeping things grounded in what matters most. We started their celebration at Deer Lake Park, a lush, tranquil oasis in Burnaby that perfectly mirrored the quiet strength of their relationship. Surrounded by the gentle rustle of trees and the soft morning light reflecting off the water, they exchanged vows in an atmosphere of complete stillness and peace.

The celebration took a heartwarming turn when we headed back home for the official signing. There’s something incredibly special about merging the sacred act of marriage with the comfort of one’s own living space. It was relaxed, authentic, and filled with the kind of laughter that only happens when you are truly at ease.

Of course, no celebration would have been complete without their witness, Benji. The puppy stole the show, reminding us that love—in all its forms—is what makes a house a home. By choosing to split their day between the wild beauty of the park and the intimacy of their private sanctuary, B&S created a wedding day that was uniquely theirs. It wasn't about the grand gestures, but the genuine, unscripted moments shared between two people (and a very happy pup) as they began their new life together.
