A Kitsilano Beach Surprise Proposal: Wedding Content Creation (WCC)
Photographs freeze a single second in time, but video captures the breath before the question is asked. For N and M’s surprise proposal on the Vancouver waterfront, our Wedding Content Creation (WCC) was entirely focused on preserving the raw, unfiltered motion and sound of their milestone.

We believe that the true magic of a proposal lies in the details you might otherwise forget in the blur of the moment—the nervous walk down the beach, the trembling hands, and the exact words spoken. To capture this without interrupting their intimacy, we utilized a true "Fly on the Wall" documentary approach.

We stayed completely out of sight, filming vertically from 50 meters away with a telephoto lens. Because capturing clear audio from that distance is nearly impossible without ruining the surprise with visible wires, we used a seamless workaround: we had N record his private vows using his Apple Watch, paired with a hidden backup microphone we planted by a piece of driftwood.

The result is a deeply moving, unscripted video that captures not just what the proposal looked like, but exactly how it sounded and felt. Delivered shortly after the ring was on her finger, this ready-to-share visual story allowed N and M to instantly relive the quiver in his voice and her genuine, tearful reaction, and share that exact feeling with their loved ones back home in Calgary.
